A truck carrying genetically modified canola has crashed in the WA Great Southern region in a spill the Australian Greens have described as a ‘serious biohazard’. The accident happened near the intersection of South Coast Highway and Cheyne Road about 50km east of Albany and about 465km southeast of Perth.
